What to know before you go to be vaccinated (75 and over)

From Cumberland County Dept. of Health and Human Services:

What to Know Before You Go to Vaccination Clinics for Ages 75 and Older at Crown Complex

Jan 11, 2021

“The Cumberland County Department of Public Health will hold COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru clinics this week at the Crown Expo Center, 1960 Coliseum Dr., for individuals in Phase 1a and Phase 1b, Group 1, which is anyone 75 years of age and older, regardless of health conditions.

Phase 1a is for health care workers at high risk for exposure and staff and residents at long-term care facilities.

Clinics will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12; Wednesday, Jan. 13; and Friday, Jan. 15 while supplies last each day. Vaccinations will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those seeking the vaccine will be screened prior to entering the vaccination area. No one younger than 75 will be vaccinated except for those in Phase 1a.

Individuals will be asked to complete a pre-vaccination questionnaire to determine if there is any reason they should not get the COVID-19 vaccine on the day they arrive.

  • Individuals who are currently under COVID-19 isolation (tested positive in the last 10 days) or quarantine orders (identified as a close contact in the last 14 days) should wait until their isolation/quarantine period is over to be vaccinated.
  • Individuals who have received their flu shot or other vaccinations in the last 14 days should wait to be vaccinated.
  • Individuals who have received passive antibody therapy as treatment for COVID-19 should defer vaccination for 90 days.
  • Those with a bleeding disorder or on blood thinners should confirm with their healthcare provider, in writing, before arriving to the site, they are able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine safely.
  • We will consult with immunocompromised individuals on site to determine if they can receive the vaccine safely.”

Vaccinations will be available in a drive-thru setting within the Expo Center with entry offCOVID19 Vaccine Map
