Online Bill Pay

The Town of Spring Lake’s Water Department has an office located inside of the Town Hall located at 300 Ruth Street, as well as a drive-thru window
on the right hand side of the Town Hall for your convenience.

Town Hall Business hours: (as of 7/5/2022)
Mon-Friday  8 a.m. – 5 p.m. &  DRIVE THRU

910-703-8912

Our after hours emergency line is not in place for any re-connections of service after office hours.
It is for water leaks or water related emergencies only.
Technicians are not able to verify any types of payments made before or after hours, in person or online, and you
will need to reach out to the Water Department office upon their opening on the next business day to discuss any re-connections.

PLEASE NOTE:
Making a payment after your water has been shut-off
DOES NOT automatically schedule you for a reconnect of service.

*Whether you paid online, in-person, or used a secure drop-box….
All reconnections must be scheduled through the Water Department
during their normal business hours.

They may be reached at 910-703-8912

Beginning July 5th, they will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

The after hours emergency number CAN NOT assist with reconnections.

Online Bill Pay Acknowledgement
                                                                      (Please read carefully)

Please note the following information is in regards to any customer who wishes to pay their bill online:
Online payments can take up to 2 business days to post to your account.

Accepted forms of payment that may be used through our online service are:
MasterCard
Visa
American Express
Discover

(A $1.50 convenience is fee applied to all online payments.)

All bills are due on the 10th of each month.
If your due date falls on a non-business day, then payment is due the very next business day.

A late fee of $25 will be applied to the amount due at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th of the month.
If this date should fall on a non-business day, then any and all late fees are applied the next business day.

Making partial payments will not prevent disconnection of your utility services.
The disconnection list (cut off list) is generated first thing in the morning
on the 26th of the month,  and a $20 reconnect fee will be automatically applied.

If this date should fall on a non-business day, then the disconnection/cut off list is generated on the next business day.

It is important to know that paying your bill online the day of or day after disconnection, with or without these fees, does not
guarantee re-connection, especially if payment was made on line and not processed during normal business hours.
Your re-connection may not be handled until the next business day.

Important Reminder
If you are using a “bill pay service” or paying your bill online OTHER THAN with the Town’s website,
your payment may take up to 2-4 days, or possibly even a week,
to be received by the Revenue Department, thus your payment will not automatically be credited
to your account at the time you use the bill pay service.

Because of this, waiting until the day before, the day of, or the day after disconnection will not prevent fees or disconnection from occurring.
Re-connects ARE NOT AUTOMATIC AND MUST BE SCHEDULED THROUGH THE WATER DEPARTMENT DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

Payments must be received in the Revenue /Water Department located at the Town Hall.
If you use such a service and your payment has not arrived, you may have to pay directly to the
Revenue Department while the payment to the bill pay service is en-route to your account.

Payments that arrive afterwards will be credited to your account and applied to the next month’s balance. No refunds may be issued.

Re-connections will NOT be done after normal business hours, on the weekends, or an observed holiday.

What happens if my service has been disconnected for non-payment?

If your service had been disconnected, you must call the
Water / Revenue Department at 910-703-8912  (during normal business hours)
so that verification of your payment can be made prior to scheduling any reconnections.
