Splash Pad

The Town of Spring Lake was proud to announce the opening of our very
own water Splash Pad for the residents of our community on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019,
aptly dedicated to Spring Lake’s late Mayor,  Mrs. Ethel T. Clark who worked
so hard to make her vision come to life.

A vision for many years of  all of our elected officials, that vision finally became a reality
thanks to the diligence and hard work of Spring Lake’s Aldermen and Town Officials, as well as the
many Spring Lake employees who worked together side by side to make our Splash Pad come to life.

The Town’s Splash Pad is located at 245 Ruth Street, Spring Lake,
and is on the same property as the Recreation and Parks Community
building and our 1/4 mile paved walking trail.

Current hours are: Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Saturdays  10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Sundays   1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

With a big blue sailcloth covering the large patio area, there are also picnic tables available on a first come first serve basis.
You are welcome to bring your own folding lawn chairs and sit anywhere on the lawn surrounding the Splash Pad.

Our playground sits right next to the Splash Pad, so you can watch the
kids play on the swings as well as watch them while they are enjoying the fun of the water spouts.
Going to stay a while? Bring some drinks and snacks for the kids.

There are new restrooms available on the premises, and each are equipped with changing tables.

In addition to the covered patio area, you will find a few benches positioned around the Splash Pad as well,
where you can catch some rays and still be able to watch the kids play.

*We do ask that you do not take any chairs inside of the fenced-in splash area.

The Splash Pad is also surrounded by a paved walking trail that is 1/4 of a mile in length,
and has exercise equipment strategically placed at some of the four corners of the path.
Stroll around four times and you have walked a mile.

Adult Supervision is required at all times for children under the age of 15.

All splashing is at your own risk,
as there is no lifeguard on duty.

For hygienic purposes, shower shoes are recommended.
The floor is a lightly textured cement to minimize slipping.
NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED.

There will be no running or horseplay allowed.

No jumping off benches, picnic tables, or spray equipment located inside the Splash area.

We are not responsible for personal items.

No alcoholic beverages allowed.
No smoking on the property. We are a smoke-free facility.

No toys inside the Splash area.

No pets, glass bottles, or objects allowed in or near the Splash area.

In the rare event of an incident, anyone inside the Splash Pad will be asked to clear the area immediately.
All patrons will be expected to remain outside of the fenced-in area
until the OKAY is given by a STAFF member that is safe to re-enter.

The Splash Pad will operate from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year.
