Recreation Park System

The Spring Lake Park System offers something for everyone of every age.  Park facilities include Mendoza Park, Wilson Avenue Park, Odell Road Park and Ruth Street Park.  From playground equipment to basketball courts to picnic tables to baseball fields, the Parks in Spring Lake are not only well maintained, they offer outdoor fun for all.

THE WAIT IS OVER!
The Spring Lake Recreation and Parks Department proudly announce the new tennis courts located at Ruth Street Park will open to the public on Monday, May 7th! For more details, call the Rec Dept. at (910) 436-0011


Mendoza Park
Located on Highway 87 just south of the Cumberland/Harnett County line, Mendoza Park is a beautiful and spacious facility.  It is an ideal place to escape the pressures of the day and relax, or play with your children and have a fun time outdoors.  This is one of several facilities offered for the enjoyment of the citizens of Spring Lake and the surrounding area.

Amenities include:

  • Three baseball/softball fields
  • Three picnic areas
  • A large playground area with swings, slides, and deck systems
  • A large open space area
  • An area for leisure walking
  • Restroom facilities
  • Park benches
  • Concessions

Both the shelters and ball fields can be rented for your event. (see links below to rates)

Wilson Avenue Park
A fenced neighborhood park that offers a nice playground, open space and picnic area.

 

Odell Road Park
Playground equipment and open space

 

Woodland West Park
Playground equipment, basketball court and open space

Ruth Street Park
This park is located directly across from the street from and adjacent to the Multipurpose Community Center and offers the following:

  • Two basketball courts
  • Two newly renovated  tennis courts
  • Playground equipment (new playground equipment)
  • Open space and picnic area
