Parents of school aged children may have to apply for their one time $335 payment
October 12th, 2020:
The NC Dept. of Revenue is still taking applications for parents or guardians of school aged children for a
$335 payment through the CORONAVIRUS Relief Act 3.0, to help cover the cost of child care or supplies while remote schooling them at home.
If you filed taxes in 2019 and had at least one qualifying child who is at least 16 years old or younger, the payment is supposed to be automatic.
However, for those who may not have filed taxes, or don’t file annually, you have until October 15th to apply online or by paper.
Payments are aimed at being sent out in December.
