The Cumberland County COVID 19 update as of July 6th, 2020:
“The Department of Public Health is reporting 157 new COVID-19 cases since Thursday, July 2nd, with 41 deaths.
Cumberland County’s case count is now 1,484.”
As reported by the NCDHHS:
“The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is reporting the state’s highest one-day number of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases with 2,099 cases reported on July 3rd, 2020.”
Hospitalizations are also at a record high with 951 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19.”
They are placing an urgency on practicing the 3 W’s:
Wash (or sanitize) your hands with soap and warm water
Wear a face covering
Wait 6 ft. apart in lines and while out in public
*****Anyone with symptoms or anyone who thinks they have been exposed to COVID-19, whether or not they have symptoms, SHOULD BE TESTED for COVID-19.
