Cumberland County COVID numbers July 21st, 2020
As reported from Cumberland County July 20th, 2020:
*Testing site is cancelled today due to extreme heat..see below…
“The Department of Public Health reports 162 new COVID-19 cases and one death since Friday morning.
Cumberland County’s case count is now 2,011 with 48 deaths.
The resident who died was in their 70’s with underlying health conditions.
North Carolina remains in Phase 2 of the COVID-19 restrictions and everyone must protect yourself and others by doing the 3 Ws:
WEAR a cloth covering over your nose and mouth
WAIT six feet apart
WASH your hands.

Some community testing is cancelled due to expected excessive heat warning:
Dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected in the area on Tuesday, July 21, and will mark the fifth consecutive day of heat index values more than 102 degrees.
********Due to the expected sweltering conditions for July 21st, Community Testing (previously referred to as Pop-Up testing) has been CANCELLED.
Officials will continue to monitor conditions for future drive-thru and community test collections. “
