
ORDINANCES
All Ordinances adopted by the Spring Lake Board of Commissioners are available for public review. The Town Clerk is the keeper of public records and is available to assist with any inquiries that you may have. The Spring Lake Code of Ordinances is available online 24 hours a day; 7 days a week. You may download the Ordinances online or request an official copy of any Ordinance from the Town Clerk (applicable copy fees may apply) by contacting the Office of the Clerk.
The Code Enforcement Division is committed to upholding and enforcing all of the laws of the Town as well as those laws on a local, state, and federal level which pertain to and fall within their jurisdiction. The Code Enforcement Officer is a Town Police Officer dedicated to local laws (Ordinances) which pertain to safe and desirable living and working environments. Code Enforcement Complaints
Please submit any public nuisance complaints, abandoned structures, and unsafe building codes to the Town App by downloading it on your mobile device by searching Town of Spring Lake. Under the Town’s Ordinance you are in violation if:
Junk Motor Vehicle
Vehicle appears inoperable as evidenced by stationary characteristics listed below:
Concealment
Vehicle must be acceptably/suitably covered and must be located at the rear of the premises as defined by the Zoning Code.
Grass/Trash
The existing conditions, specifically the accumulation of trash, junk, grass and weeds in the excess of twelve (12) inches on property.
Once cited for any of the above, if you wish to request a hearing to appeal, you must file a written notice of appeal in the office of the Town Manager before the date and time for the compliance.
Failure to comply with the Town’s Ordinances will result in a fine of $100.00 for each day that you are in violation.

The Code Enforcement Office is located within our Police Department at the Spring Lake Town Hall located at 300 Ruth St. Parking is available in the parking lot facing Morehead Street.
