It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of one of Spring Lake’s very own beloved friends and residents, Mr. Cal Tenhet, Sr.
As many of us know, Mr. Tenhet spent the majority of his years dedicating his time to the youth in our community through sporting programs,
and he was a huge part of getting the Recreation Center up and running in Spring Lake many years ago.
In March of last year, on a sunny and beautiful day, the newly renovated tennis courts located on Ruth Street were dedicated and named in his honor. It was a moment and a tribute that he was so very proud of, as well as deserving.
On behalf of our Mayor, Larry G. Dobbins, our Board of Aldermen, our Town Manager Mr. Daniel B. Gerald, and all of our employees for the Town of Spring Lake,
we offer our sincerest sympathies to the loving family of Mr. Tenhet.
