Trooper Billy Manning:
A pillar in the community for many, many years, Trooper Billy Manning will be remembered by all for his personality, his dedication, and his many years of service, several which were spent with the Town of Spring Lake.
*Spring Lake Firefighter (May 1969 to April 1970)
*Spring Lake Police Officer (April 1970 to November 1971)
*Spring Lake Police Chief (Nov. 3 1971 to Dec. 1981)
*Board of Aldermen Member (Dec. 1985 to Dec.1992)
*Mayor (December 1993 to December 1997)

Trooper Billy Manning took his last jump on Monday, June 17, 2019.
Trooper Manning was a Life Member of this Association, and a former Chapter President of the Samuel Council Chapter. Trooper Manning was also the former Spring Lake Mayor and Police Chief.
