The Spring Lake Fire and Rescue Department has launched Remembering When A Fire and Fall Prevention Program for Senior Adults. Its a fun yet educational way to learn how to prevent fires and falls. The primary audience is senior adults and their care givers. The best part… we will work with you and your organization to arrange a time and location so we can best accommodate your schedule and group. DID YOU KNOW? The Spring Lake Fire and Rescue Department (located at 300 Ruth Street) is a Permanent Safety Seat Inspection station! Our Fire Fighters are trained professionals who know how to install safety seats and can help you learn to not only install your but also determine if you have the right seat for your vehicle. Periodically, the Department will host Car Seat Clinics. When we do, we will post the information here.
The Spring Lake Fire Department is active in educating the community in fire prevention and other safety related information. There are an array of programs and services provided by the department as a part of the commitment to community outreach and fire safety education. Some of these include: fire extinguisher training fire truck visits tours of the fire department speaking to school classes Firefighter Joe and Smoke Alarm Sam puppet show Child Safety Seat checks The SLFR Department is dedicated to the safety and well being of all the residents of Spring Lake. From time to time, the Department will offer special training and classes that are open to the public at the Senior Enrichment Center as well as the Spring Lake Community Center. These are generally announced on the Town’s website, in the events calendar, on the various social media pages, on the “what’s happening page of the Fire Department’s page and through various media outlets. These may include CPR classes, Fall Prevention, Fire Safety and more. We encourage everyone to participate.
